The entrepreneur and Shark Tank star shares why he’s supporting Kamala Harris while highlighting her plans for small businesses and economic fairness on The Todd Allbaugh Show

He’s a renowned entrepreneur, owner of the Dallas Mavericks, and Shark Tank personality. Mark Cuban is also a supporter of Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election. He tells Todd Allbaugh, host of The Todd Allbaugh Show, the stakes for small businesses are predominant in the presidential race. And he believes in her policy-driven approach to support small businesses, provide healthcare solutions, and combat tariffs impacting middle-class Americans.

Cuban built a business empire from humble beginnings. Reflecting on her focus on small and medium sized businesses, Cuban believes her tax policies will benefit 99% of business owners who make under $400,000 annually.

“Kamala has been very clear that for all those people, their taxes are either staying the same or going down,” Cuban says. “Her support is for working Americans who form the backbone of the economy. And as an advocate for business transparency, these policies would empower entrepreneurs, and provide security in uncertain times.”

Cuban also explains the healthcare challenges facing Americans. It’s a personal subject for him as the founder of Cost Plus Drugs, a company dedicated to affordable medication. And while praising Harris’s approach to reduce medication costs by targeting pharmacy middlemen, Cuban explains, “She’s going to bring transparency to it. Her policies will cut the cost of medications 20, 30% or more. And her plan to expand healthcare affordability, could fundamentally relieve financial pressure for families across the country.”

Allbaugh turns the discussion to tariffs. Cuban explaining Trump-era tariffs have burdened small businesses by inflating costs for goods imported from countries like China.

“If you jack up the tariffs to 60% on all Chinese imports, we’re not going to be able to buy as many Christmas presents,” Cuban says, while linking the issue to holiday sales for small businesses.

Cuban reveals he is a self-identified Independent. But notes Harris’s openness to diverse perspectives and cites her commitment to bipartisan solutions.

“Life changes; the only certainty about life is the uncertainty of it,” he explains. “Her willingness to consider input from across the aisle speaks to her adaptive and inclusive approach.”

The conversation closes with some laughter and predictions for the upcoming NBA season. Cuban says he is confident in the Milwaukee Bucks’ potential with stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard. But beyond sports, Cuban’s message is clear.

“For those aiming to build, innovate, and uplift the American dream, Harris offers a vision essential for America’s future,” he says.
