Former Bush Solicitor General Joins Milwaukee Judge’s Defense in ICE Obstruction Case
MADISON, Wis – (Civic Media) – The Wisconsin Elections Commission chair says former U.S. Solicitor General Paul Clement will join Milwaukee County Judge Hannah Dugan’s defense team following her arrest on federal obstruction charges tied to an immigration case.
In a post on X, Ann Jacobs says, “Excited to report that Atty. Paul Clement is joining Judge Hannah Dugan’s defense team! He was US Atty General and Solicitor General under George W. Bush.”

Judge Dugan allegedly interfered with an ICE arrest at the Milwaukee County Courthouse. A reserve judge will assume her caseload as she prepares for a May 15 court date.
