
Genoa man arrested for Criminal Damage to Property, other charges
Deputies responded within eight minutes of the 911 call. An officer from the Viroqua Police Department also responded to assist the Sheriff’s Office with this “In Progress” call for service.
VERNON COUNTY, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – A disturbance at a residence resulted in an arrest. Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports that Sunday morning (April 27) at approximately 8:00, the Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified that an individual was attempting to forcefully enter a neighboring, single-family dwelling located on County Road LF in rural Viroqua, in the Town of Viroqua. The caller reported that a male was yelling, kicking a door, and gained entry to the home.
Deputies responded within eight minutes of the 911 call. An officer from the Viroqua Police Department also responded to assist the Sheriff’s Office with this “In Progress” call for service. Within moments of the officers’ arrival, Nicholas Thomas Kochagian, 33 of rural Genoa, was detained without further incident. Kochagian was previously known to the victim, but was not an occupant, nor did he have permission to enter the home.
Nicholas Kochagian was arrested and later booked into the Sheriff’s Office Detention Center for: Criminal Trespass to Dwelling; Criminal Damage to Property; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; and Operating While Intoxicated, 2nd Offense.
